Ce titre énergique sort sur l’album “Kali Yuga” le 29 septembre 2023.
Second Brain est un collectif de musiciens créé à Londres en 2014 sous la direction musicale d’Adrien Pigeat. Avec désormais plus d’une vingtaine de musiciens en son sein, Second Brain propose une musique ayant pour devise “jazz dans l’esprit, rock dans la forme et funk dans le fond”.

Backfire a été composé et arrangé par Adrien Pigeat qui a réuni ici une équipe essentiellement parisienne avec des musiciens issus du CMDL à laquelle s’est joint Nicolas Py qui l’accompagne depuis le début du projet.
Dans cette composition qui fusionne des pulsions Afrobeat et une énergie Rock, le groupe démontre sa capacité à créer des ponts entre les genres et déploie de superbes phases d’improvisations. On a senti la magie du live opérer entre les 7 musiciens dans le studio ce qui présage de beaux moments sur scène.
